- I met my soon to be husband in Vegas. In a hot tub. Drunk. :)
- I have only stepped foot in the US and Canada. World traveler, not me.
- This is a BIG secret...but the South is kind of growing on me...but don't tell anyone.
- I knew what college I wanted to go to when I was 12. And I went there!
- I am a Chi Omega!
- I love the beach more than anything! The ocean makes everything better.
- If I could drink whiskey with every meal, I would. Probably wine too.
- When I was in high school my parents bought me a Honda Element. But because they had just bought me a brand new car my dad decided to be a wise ass and got me the vanity plate that said 'SQRCAR'...yea...Square Car. THAT HAPPENED. I had the plate for 5 years. And some douche at my school made a facebook group about it...called "Fans of SQRCAR". Woof.
People rarely meet their hubbies in Vegas...such luck :)
ReplyDeleteI know, right?! People thought it was weird at first..but we're going on three years and just got engaged!! :)
DeleteLoved reading your post! :) We are way too similar, you are right! haha
ReplyDeleteI'm also having the work blues...I want to pack up and head to Cali with just the clothes on my back (bc they are my faves, haha)! Hope your week gets better! :)
I could do the exact same thing! I just want to pack up and head down to the beach! I just need money to start growing on some damn trees!
DeleteI found your blog from the link up! I am from the midwest and live in the south and totally love it! :) I'm sorry your job blows I had a job that blew and I never went back to it after I had my baby. In fact I have a sassy mouth so when the people were totally sucking at my job I got a bit sassy. Probably not the best thing to do but made me feel better! HA HA

I'm always thinking of rude comments in my head that I wish I could say back to people!! One day it is all just gonna come out!
DeleteIsn't the Honda Element like able to flatten into a bed? My Mom had one and I remember you could put all of the seats down and look out the back sunroof. Quite brave on your parents part to buy one for a teenager! I'm a fellow northerner and I've always been intrigued by the south. Maybe someday I'll make the move too!
ReplyDeleteHahaha yes it does fold into a bed! :) The South really isn't that bad...VERY different though!
DeleteFirst of all- the south grows on everyone! Warmer temps & fun accents help us convert people! Also, I misread your "I met my husband in a hot tub in Vegas" as "I met my son in a hot tub in Vegas" & I was so completely confused for a minute! Haha. And if it makes you feel any better, one time I did just leave work. I didn't tell anybody. My boss was being so mean to me. I just packed up & left. And no one said a word about it! I am not sure if they even noticed
ReplyDeleteYou are so right, the warm weather definitely makes me want to stay here!
DeleteThat is too funny that you just left your job..and no one noticed! I am considering it today. If I didn't have to pay so many bills! haha
Hahahaha ~ this was hilarious!
ReplyDeleteBest part was about meeting your husband in a hot tub drunk!

The South does tend to grow on you! I am a Yankee turned Southerner myself :) I also have one of those jobs that I constantly joke with my co-workers about the fact that I may or may not be back after lunch...little do they know I am half way serious!
ReplyDeleteHaha! I love it! Vegas! Don't ask me for advice about the job tho- I quit mine to work with the best boss ever, my hubs! ^_^
ReplyDeleteBest thing I ever did, I was miserable in my job!
haha that's hilarious about your car plate! Too funny...my dad would SO do the same thing.
ReplyDeleteAND yes feel ya on the job thing. Most days I love my job but there are times...
