I took a few days off from blogging. Not for one reason in particular..but I've been busy with work and life and everything. I'm not going to say much about what happened yesterday, but all I want to say is that my heart is broken after the horrible acts that took place in my hometown. Boston is my heart and although I feel torn apart, I also feel so thankful for all of the amazing heros who were there to take care of those who needed it. Boston is strong.
Aside from that...I chopped 4 inches off my hair this past weekend. Don't judge my face below, just embrace the weird.

And last, but certainly not least...our new baby!!!!!
Everyone, meet Penny. Yesterday at work a lady down the hall from me posted a sign with a cute picture of a puppy that read "Anyone looking for a puppy?". Well duh, hey..this sucker right here obviously! But seriously...after hearing her story, I couldn't say no. Basically the daughter of my co-worker found this little puppy at a local park...and after seeing how scared and little she looked spent an hour and a half trying to catch her. After finally getting her, a man in the park approached them and told the girl that he had been seeing this puppy around the park area for at least the past two weeks. Unfortunately, the girl had to leave for basic training yesterday! Her mom (my co-worker) already has five dogs...which explains the sign. I said we would give her a try with Seamus and take her to the vet to see if was healthy. Turns out...Seam loves her and she is in perfect health! The vet said she is probably around 7 months old and besides having some very raw pads on her front paws (likely from digging or running on hot pavement) she is absolutely healthy. We are so happy to have her and feel really relieved that she has a home and family now!
Oh and they did check to see if she was microchipped (she isn't) and my co-worker called every shelter and humane society in our area to see if anyone reported her missing. They also drove around the entire area where she was found...no signs. So if she does have a family out there, it doesn't seem like they looked very hard for her. :(
Anyway...sorry for skipping a few days of posts!! I hope you guys forgive me :)
