On Friday I finally got my shit together and met up with a wedding planner. She actually was the first planner I interned with in college and we have always remained really close! We haven't seen each other in years and it was so good to get together with her and catch up.
The big topic of the day: our wedding.
After my meeting on Friday, Ross and I sat down this weekend and officially have decided to start over. Searching, planning, marrying...we are going to get this party started once and for all.
Since Ross recently started a new job as a teacher, we are very limited with dates. We have a window of time from the last week of June through the third week of July...eeekkkk! I am hoping that we can find a venue that still has dates for next summer! I called the one I mentioned last week and they still have dates available...so now I just have to find a free day to get in the car and get to the Cape! I found a few other venues that I need to call, but I have been so busy with work that I haven't had the chance to call or look into any information.
Since we are definitely focusing on the Cape and the middle of summer, I want to take on a subdued nautical theme! The venues I like are right on the beach and I would love to incorporate some blues and cream colors and definitely a lot of beach shots.
I am so excited to finally be back planning and looking forward to the day I can marry my best friend!!
A nautical theme is so great for a summer wedding on the cape and you can choose from so many accent colors!! So exciting to start planning the wedding eeek!!!
ReplyDeleteHow exciting for you!! That is awesome, love the nautical theme and it seems like you love it too! Fingers crossed for the perfect venue!
ReplyDeleteThat is going to be beautiful! I'm a sucker for navy, it goes well with so many accents colors.
ReplyDeleteLove a nautical theme - anything with navy & stripes is awesome in my book!
ReplyDeleteLove the idea of a nautical theme. You can do so much with it and incorporate knots - since you're trying the knot!
ReplyDeleteBeautiful!! I can already tell that it going to be an absolute dream!
ReplyDeleteI love nautical themes! Navy and white are such classic colors, and it would be easy to incorporate just small nautical details that are classy, not cheesy. (Here via Belle in Boots).
